This page explains how an article on this site gets written and what we check before it is published.
Sourcing
Claims about what a regulator requires are checked against that regulator’s own published rules, licence conditions, or guidance documents where they are publicly available — not against a secondary summary of them. Where a claim comes from an operator, a vendor, or a named commentator instead of a regulator, the article says so and attributes it, rather than presenting it as an established fact.
What we do not do
- We do not invent statistics, quotes, or regulatory findings. If a number cannot be sourced, it is left out or explicitly marked as an estimate.
- We do not score or rank individual gambling operators on this site. Coverage here is about policy and tooling in general, not a verdict on any single brand.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of a regulation, a vendor’s product, or a policy position.
Updates
Regulatory guidance and licence conditions change. When an article is materially updated after a change in the underlying rules, the update is noted at the top of the piece with the date. Minor copyedits are not logged separately. See the corrections policy for how factual errors are handled once a piece is live.
Independence
This site links to gambling operators in some articles, and some of those links are compensated — see how this site is funded. That relationship does not change what an article says about a regulator’s requirements or an operator’s compliance record; it changes which operators get linked to, not what is written about them.
